Timing belt/cambelt replacement

When it comes to car servicing, timing belt/cambelt replacement is, without doubt, the most important serviceable component of a car’s engine. The timing belt/cambelt has an incredibly important job controlling the camshafts in the engine and keeping it running smoothly.

Your timing belt/cambelt should be replaced every 40-100,000 miles. Manufacturers have specified the replacement intervals for timing belts. In an interference engine, the valves and piston share the same air space, they never touch unless your timing belt snaps or jumps, and this is a catastrophic failure that requires removing the cylinder head and replacing bent valves.

Non-interference engines do not risk this contact if the timing belt fails. Nonetheless, can leave you stranded, so regular timing belt replacement is very important.
